Buyer’s Guide to Choosing Squeegee Mops

Squeegee mops and floor squeegees are designed to move water, cleaning solution and other liquids from hard floor surfaces. They are useful in commercial kitchens, washrooms, workshops, warehouses, food service areas and other environments where floors need to be cleared of excess moisture efficiently.

Which Floor Squeegee Size Should You Choose?

Smaller 55cm floor squeegees can be easier to manoeuvre in tighter spaces, while 75cm and 90cm models provide greater coverage for larger floor areas.

Filta offers 55cm and 75cm floor squeegees, while Edco provides black neoprene floor squeegees in 75cm and 90cm sizes. Consider the size of the cleaning area, storage space and the amount of liquid typically being moved when selecting a width.

When Should You Replace the Squeegee Blade?

A worn or damaged rubber blade can reduce contact with the floor and leave more water behind. Replacement rubber and neoprene refills allow compatible squeegee systems to be maintained without replacing the entire unit.

Insinc stocks Filta replacement rubber for the 55cm and 75cm models, along with Edco neoprene refills in 60cm and 90cm sizes.

Always check the refill size and product compatibility before ordering. Some Edco squeegees are supplied without handles, so confirm whether a compatible handle is required separately.
