Polyethylene bags provide a practical food-grade plastic packaging option for food handling, storage, processing and general commercial use. Insinc’s range includes clear and blue polyethylene bags from Matthews in a variety of sizes and thicknesses.

Available options range from compact 200 x 300mm bags through to larger 600 x 900mm formats, with both FP and POR polyethylene bags available.

Which Polyethylene Bag Size Should You Choose?

Choose the bag dimensions according to the size and volume of the products being packed. Smaller 200 x 300mm and 250 x 300mm bags suit compact items, while medium sizes such as 300 x 450mm and 400 x 700mm provide additional capacity.

For larger products or bulk packaging, 500 x 700mm and 600 x 900mm options are available. Always allow enough room for filling and closing the bag without excessive stretching.

Which Plastic Bag Thickness Do You Need?

Thickness is measured in microns, or mu, and the range includes 27mu, 30mu and heavier 70mu options.

The 27mu and 30mu bags suit applications where lighter polyethylene packaging is appropriate, while selected 70mu bags provide a thicker option for larger or more demanding packaging requirements.

Clear bags allow the contents to remain visible, while a blue 425 x 500mm option is also available where colour identification is preferred. Check the individual dimensions, thickness and packaging requirements before selecting the most suitable bag.
